Personalized {Holiday} Cards to Spread the Joy
With the holidays coming around, it can be hard to come up with the right gift for those loved ones in your life, especially a gift that has that personal touch. I had received a beautiful arrangement of flowers from a friend's personal garden, and you would not believe the colors! I preserved them, but I didn't know what I would do with them exactly, until one day it hit me... why not make her a stationary set, using her own flowers!

With the holidays coming around, it can be hard to come up with the right gift for those loved ones in your life, especially a gift that has that personal touch. I had previously received a beautiful arrangement of flowers from a friend's personal garden, and you would not believe the colors! I preserved them, but I didn't know what I would do with them exactly, until one day it hit me... why not make her a stationary set, using her own flowers!

It was with this one idea that I was off to the races! I followed through with my normal preservation process, but I kept in mind - and an eye out for - flowers, leaves and arrangements that would work well with the square cards and envelopes that I knew I already had.

I wanted each card to be unique and distinctive, but for all of them to look like a beautiful set. set all together. Some of them had 3 small pieces, some had one, and some had an overlapping abstract arrangement that I gently adhered with with crafting glue.
Once I was done with all of my cards, I used clear plastic bags that I had on hand to tuck the front flap of each cards into, which acts like a protective covering and presented the whole set wrapped up in a beautiful ribbon!
If you are looking to do this for yourself or as a gift for someone else, check out your local craft store or Amazon for blank card sets! The clear bags I used as the "protective covering" are often used for sealing in goodies and treats. Though they are not necessary, they do help protect the preserved flowers and all of your hard work. Just be sure to get ones that are slightly bigger than the card as to not crush your flowers.
