Knowing Your Flowers Before Preserving

The biggest key factor to a beautiful and successful preservation is knowing where your flowers are coming from. Are they freshly cut and arranged in a beautiful bouquet? Have they been sitting in a box for years, left to naturally dry? Or did you find some in a meadow while on an afternoon walk? Each have their own unique factors for what could make for an easy and stunning preservation. Check out some of our awesome tips, videos and resources to learn more!

GETTING STARTED

STEP 1
REMOVE PRESERVATION KIT CONTENTS

Place kit contents on a flat surface and stack the contents as follows, from bottom to top.

STEP 2
WRAP EVERYTHING UP

Make a knot at one end of the string and place in the indention to secure. Wrap string around the middle, horizontally then vertically. Knot finishing end of string. Secure in the closest indentation.

Note: For thicker flowers, use holding clips in opposite corners of drying boards to stabilize prior to wrapping.

Once wrapped, remove holding clips prior to microwaving.

STEP 3
DRY YOUR FLOWERS   

Place wrapped drying boards in microwave. Please note that specific flower conditions influence the drying times.

Note: Between cycles, use tweezers to manipulate petals as desired to avoid damage from mishandling.
CAUTION: Boards and string may be hot after microwaving. Use tweezers or oven mitts to remove with
  caution. Avoid unwrapping boards directly in front of face or direct skin in case of any trapped steam.

STEP 4
SPRAY ON THE SHINE

Make sure your flower is almost completely dry.

Use the Finishing Mist on the front and back of the dried flower.

Let dry then repeat as needed, ensuring flowers are completely dry before placing into any albums.

Note: Drying time may vary based on drying increments in the microwave and room temperature.
