PRESERVING FRESH CUT FLOWERS

FRESHLY CUT AND READY TO PRESERVE

From bouquet gifts to decorative arrangements, freshly cut flowers bring beauty and a smile to everyone who receives them. What's important to note is that their preservation process is unique because though their stems are cut, they still contain a lot of moisture that needs to be removed during the preservation process. Whether using the microwaving drying process or letting them naturally dry, the key is in the timing to ensure that all moisture has been removed from the flowers to ensure a beautiful preservation.

When you want to Set Them and Forget Them, you still have to start them off with our microwave drying process, but you don't have to finish them off that way.

Prepare you drying boards and quick-dry papers as you normally would. For every floral you want to preserve, you will microwave for 30 seconds for the initial drying session, followed by 2 15-second increments. From there, they can finish drying naturally!

The key to finish off with natural drying is that the moisture needs to be released from the flowers before rot and deterioration occurs for optimal preservation results. Continuing on with the normal microwaving drying process just expedites the drying process by extracting even more moisture with every session, but that can take a while, depending on how much time you have and how many preservation you want to make.

So when live gets a bit too busy and you don't have a lot of time, Set Them and Forget Them!  Check out our FAQs for more tips and tricks!
